The Brooksville Volunteer Fire Department Association is an independent organization that provides fire, first response, and emergency services for the Town of Brooksville, Maine and offers mutual aid to neighboring towns. Under the leadership of Fire Chief Matt Dow, we operate as the municipal fire department and enjoy financial support from the Town to support our operations. As a tax-exempt 501C-3 organization, we seek community financial support for equipment purchases and major projects.

During the last 12 months the department responded to nearly 60 calls, including fires, CPR, ambulance assist, vehicular accidents, mutual aid, alarm calls, and downed power lines. Incidents precipitated by recent powerful storms were among the most notable. The department currently has 11 active members, and we are constantly seeking to expand our roster.
